Garmsar Blue salt mine is located near Garmsar city in Semnan province, Northern Iran. Semnan province consists of seven cities: Meyami, Shahrud, Damghan, Semnan, Mahdishahr, Sorkheh, Aradan, Garmsar. The Garmsar blue salt looks like New Mexico and Poland Blue salt which have transparent crystal structure with some shades of blue among their halites. As the blue salt is almost a vein or a little part of a big salt mine it can be harvested in a limited amount annually, therefore the price of this salt is different with other salt like Himalayan or red salt which are harvested more than 50,000 MT per year.
